CORE Networks, LLC – I.T. Service Provider: (2004-present) President/Lead Engineer

Recruiting, hiring, training, & assessing the performance of all staff members. Managing sales & technical staff.  Built & Manage email hosting infrastructure and servers to improve client satisfaction through a 100% in house managed solution. Built & manage remote data backup infrastructure and servers to create an additional service offering for the company. Converted company from Break/Fix model to more modern Managed Services model complete with branded security agent, patch management, managed antivirus, remote access, error & inventory reporting.  Management of vendor relations and credit accounts. Contract negotiations with clients & vendors. Sales & Marketing initiatives. Ordering, Shipping & Receiving of inventory. Development of company policies and procedures.  Survey, Design & Quote all complex client solutions. Sr. support to all field Technicians.

Hibernia National Bank: (1998-2004) Various Positions

In both positions I held at Hibernia one thing remained constant, the commitment to service excellence.  My daily goal was to live up to the company motto “Where Service Matters”.

(2001-2004)  Network Engineer II (Systems Officer)

Member of the Security Response and Disaster Recovery Planning teams. Researched emerging technologies and worked with team members to submit annual IT budget. Pre-configured Routers/Switches/Firewalls & supported field technicians converting 240 branches to new Cisco network. Worked with Voice Engineering group to implement a Cisco voice over IP solution to 240 branch offices as well as multiple back office locations. Installed and maintained Cisco Works VMS & LAN/WAN Management/Monitoring suites. Provide documentation and train other departments (mainly operations) on new technologies being implemented. Ownership and administration of all bank Cisco PIX Firewalls. Map circuit channels in Bell South’s DACS to facilitate bandwidth upgrades and disaster recovery. Coordination of network changes with other departments and vendors through the change control process. Configure equipment such as Cisco Switches/Routers/Firewalls, Enterasys Switches and Timeplex Routers. Asses firewall request and make changes as appropriate. 3rd level support to Network Operations group. Ownership of the Assignment & Documentation of IP addresses enterprise wide.

(1998-2001)  Regional Support Engineer

Maintained operation of all computers, phones, cabling & networking equipment for 23 remote sites. Ensured internal client satisfaction on both in house and vendor managed projects. Coordination of network changes with other departments, vendors and end users. 2nd level support to help desk.

I.S.E. Incorporated: (1996-1998)  Project Manager/Lead Technician

Configured, installed & maintained Cabletron (Enterasys) hubs, switches and AT&T CSU/DSU devices. Design and implement changes/new installs of data and voice cabling systems. Installed and maintained multiple cable topologies (Category 5, Category 3, Fiber Optic.) Coordination of multi-user multi-system moves for both data and telco networks. Managed multiple large cabling projects and bank conversions. Supervised and supported Jr. Technicians.

Sola Communications: (1994-1996) Safety & Controls Technician

Designed and installed electronic equipment for Navigational Aid Systems, Gas, Fire & Smoke detection systems and Gai Tronics party/page systems for petroleum based sites, rental offices and living quarters. Installed and maintained automatic shut down systems from detection devices to oil field production equipment. Maintained solar charging panels and battery banks for powering Navigational Aid systems on unmanned platforms.
